What kind of trip is this?
Krasnodar isn’t Moscow, it isn’t St. Petersburg – and that’s exactly what makes it so interesting. The capital of the Kuban region is a lively southern city with its own history, a unique Cossack culture, and a location that makes trips to the Sea of Azov and the Caucasus possible. This trip gives you six days to really get to know the region – with personal support, an individually tailored program, and plenty of freedom for your own discoveries: mornings together, afternoons and evenings yours to spend as you like.
Who is this trip for?
Krasnodar is full of surprises: a lively southern city with a personal airport pickup, German-speaking support, and a program tailored individually to you. No age limit, no prior knowledge needed.
Cossack tradition isn’t a museum piece here – it’s alive. And the nature right on the doorstep, from the Black Sea to the peaks of the Caucasus, is a bonus almost no other Russian city can offer.
What awaits you

📋 The Itinerary – Day by Day
Welcome to the South of Russia
Pickup at Krasnodar Airport, transfer to the hotel, check-in. SIM card, currency exchange, first orientation. Krasnodar greets you with warmth – over 30 degrees in summer – and a southern flair you won’t forget anytime soon.
Krasnaya Street, Cossack Parade & Kovalenko Museum
Along Krasnaya Street – Krasnodar’s historic main axis – you’ll learn where the first Cossack fortress stood and how the city has changed over 200 years. At Pushkin Square: the real Cossack parade with mounted Cossacks, dzhigitovka trick riding and saber displays – tourists come from all over Russia for this show. Afterwards, the Kovalenko Museum: Russian art from the 16th to 20th century – Repin, Aivazovsky, Kandinsky, Malevich.
Galitsky Park, Cossack Regalia & Cossack Choir Concert
Galitsky Park – Russia’s most beautiful park – with its Colosseum stadium, Japanese garden and exotic trees. Plus the exhibition “Regalia of the Kuban Cossack Host” featuring the original founding charter of Catherine the Great. In the evening – schedule permitting – the concert of the legendary Kuban Cossack Choir: world-famous, even known in Germany, on their home stage.
Day trip: Ataman & Taman Archaeological Museum
To the Sea of Azov – and back in time. The ethnographic village of Ataman: original Cossack dwellings, a 250-year-old church and a direct view of the Crimean Bridge. Afterwards, the Taman Archaeological Museum: Greeks, Scythians, Huns and Sarmatians – this region made history long before the Cossacks arrived.
Caucasus excursion – or brewery, car museum & more
Depending on the season and weather: an excursion into the Caucasus with views of Mount Elbrus, alpine meadows, glaciers and Caucasian cuisine. In case of bad weather: Ochakovo Brewery (Europe’s largest brewery, kvass tasting), the USSR Automobile Museum with a 1911 Ford Model T and Soviet classic cars, plus dinner at Restaurant Stan with borscht, blini and Kuban wine.
Farewell – or onward through Russia
The last morning is yours. We’ll get you to the airport in time – or you can continue your journey: to Moscow (an hour’s flight away), St. Petersburg, Siberia and Lake Baikal, or aboard the Trans-Siberian Railway.

What travellers say
I’d never even heard of Krasnodar before – now I can’t stop raving about it. The Cossack parade and the trip to the Sea of Azov were experiences you won’t find in any guidebook.
The mix was just right: shared program in the mornings, time for myself in the afternoons. And thanks to the German-speaking support, I felt completely safe from the airport all the way to departure.
